GOOD TECHNIQUE
Although I made this for a student going through an embouchure "change", the basic principles of trumpet playing remain constant for all of us.
Ideally keeping mouthpiece in centre, slightly higher than the inbetween-lip-line (rim of mouthpiece mostly on skin, not lip surface) - pointing trumpet out at a SLIGHT angle downwards.

LIP BUZZING
A quick look at the benefits and possible traps of lip buzzing freely.
In short - good for demonstration of healthy horizontal embouchure shape, but the more tubing you add... (mouthpiece / leadpipe / trumpet) ...the less tension you need in the lips.
Keep the general shape with set corners, and good air support. Keep the mouthpiece in the middle of the mouth.
